Kriemhild Logotype.png

Kriemhild Dairy Farms

Kriemhild “Dairy Farms, pronounced cream-hil-d, comes from the name of the original Holstein herd of holstein-friesian cattle that were born, raised and registered in the United States. This particular herd holds a unique value as our farm is located just a few short miles from Peterboro, NY, where the herd resided in 1929, raised by Gerrit Smith Miller, grandson of the famous abolitionist, Gerrit Miller. While we are not focused on breeds and enjoy the diversity of a mixed breed herd, we recognize the importance of history and the path that was paved to make this area the beautiful and viable dairy country that exists today.  www.kriemhilddairy.com

Black Hawk Farms Wagyu Beef

Black Hawk Farms began as a family partnership focused on raising high quality beef. From the ground up, we crafted a beef program that exceeds industry standards and challenges the status quo of ranching. Our goal was simple: to sustainably breed, raise, and finish the most delicious beef possible. Combining our resources and expertise in crop and livestock production, we began building a herd of exceptional American Wagyu cattle on our pastures, located in a historical township known as Black Hawk, Kentucky, hence our farm’s name.  www.blackhawkmeats.comeats.com/

At Lady Edison, we source whole hogs exclusively from the North Carolina Natural Hog Growers Association, headed by Jeremiah Jones. The NCNHGA is made up of 19 farmers, all of which are third-party Animal Welfare Approved and certified non-GMO. The oldest farmers in the organization are in their early 80s and many have been farming all their lives. These small family farms promote traditional, sustainable farming practices and a food system that values and respects the whole animal. Lady Edison hogs are a heritage cross of Berkshire, Chester White and Duroc and are 100% pasture-raised, without hog houses, without gestation crates, as some old-timers say “on the ground” in their natural habitat. www.ladyedisonpork.com

Rumi Spice logo.png

Rumi Spice

At Rumi Spice we strive to provide high-quality, sustainably farmed saffron to US consumers by sourcing directly from rural Afghan farmers in an economic partnership. We reinvest our profits to build the agricultural and manufacturing infrastructure necessary to lay a foundation for peace and prosperity. In previous years, neglect of the rural Afghan majority contributed to the rise of the Taliban, who capitalized on historic grievances. Without investment in agriculture, Afghan farmers have little prospects with shrinking land allotments – making them susceptible to the Taliban. Rumi Spice strives to change this dynamic. We provide Afghan farmers with a direct market to produce and sell saffron globally.  www.rumispice.com
